The awkward facing seats on the buses make interesting people watching sometimes.

There was a young white couple (obviously not well off [please note that I'm not discriminating people that aren't swimming in wealth. I'm simply stereotyping to paint a picture in your head]) sitting across from me. Like usual, I had my iPod on. They are very open with their affection towards each other and lead a very different lifestyle than I do.

The female started making typical asian faces (^-^Y) and then, realizing that I was asian (and non responsive to their conversation), she continues to make fun of the typical asian gestures. She then continues with other asian stereotypes such as making fun of asian males with small penises, and so forth. I suppose her goal was to annoy me. Instead, I felt guilty.

I know it's an odd feeling considering the situation, but I felt guilty because I started judging her. I felt bad for her because of her financial situation (judged by her clothing). I felt bad for her being in the social setting (she was talking about beating people up and being spat on, etc). And then I felt good about myself because I know that I will eventually have a financially stable, happy, and safe life.

Yeah, I'm not perfect either.

Oh well.

#fail

Tuesday, February 16, 2010
I just read my last post and... I realized why I always need to proofread my written work. My English is crap! I guess being a university student doesn't mean much. Worse part is... Communication majors mainly write papers. *facepalm*

No more writing. I'll be one of those bimbos and just let lyrics speak for me.

"Today was a fairytale
You were the prince"

"You told me I was pretty when I looked like a mess"

"You've got a smile that takes me to another planet
Every move you make everything you say is right"

"All that I can say is it's getting so much clearer
Nothing made sense until the time I saw your face
Today was a fairytale"
--Today Was a Fairytale, Taylor Swift, Valentine's Day Movie Soundtrack

...okay, that turned out more sappy than expected. Oops.

I er... yeah... hi =)

Tuesday, December 15, 2009
I needed a new post. The last one was too -insert word- to look at.

I just had an interview today for a coordinator position. I realized that I really need to talk to people more. I can't talk without stumbling over words. Through Communications, I've developed decent writing skills, but verbal communications is something I still need to work on. Grr!

Two finals on the next two days. Prepared I am not. Therefore I shall continue my exploration in the world of art and popular culture, and quantitative research.

Weee~

MS Awareness Week/Busy?

Tuesday, November 24, 2009
MS Awareness Week has finally started!

The day started with us blowing up the fuse =) Okay, I suppose it wasn't that smart to plug in a popcorn machine and a portable hand washing station to an outlet that was already providing power for three laptops. Oops?

Anyway, if you want to find me, just follow the smell of fresh (and hopefully not burnt) popcorn.

He thinks I'm stressed because I'm too busy. Me? Busy? Never! I still see white space on my schedule!

...er, white space on some days anyway. Rawr =/

Food!

I would make a horrible anorexic.

Out for dinner? Of course. Free appetizers? All over it! Dessert? Uh, duh. Drinks? Sure!

That pretty much sums up my evening. *scale breaks*

Haircut

Tuesday, April 28, 2009
So I had the Disney marathon part two today with my dear "ex-bro" and 99 cents (SC and JW respectively). It was fun although I did fall asleep partway through Peter Pan. We watched the Jungle Book and the Little Mermaid before that. But that's not the point in this (hopefully) short blog.

fail haircut

me: why has no one noticed that I got a haircut yet?
SC: oh, I was going to ask when you're going to get one
me: ...I got at least 5 inches chopped off -_-''
